This week the Australian Computer Society convened its Congress and elected a new President. The ACS president serves a two-year term and the departing President, Brenda Aynsley, will have served her full term by the end of the year.
Brenda has been a great President for the Society, having led it on a journey to start revitalising itself and coming up with new answers for how it delivers value to its members.
Whilst sad to see Brenda depart before that journey is complete, I’m excited to have Anthony Wong taking the helm. Anthony is a very experienced and dedicated ICT professional who has actually been the Society President once before (this is actually fairly unusual). I’m confident we’ll see Anthony continue the Society’s journey with strong leadership.
